Twelve people are believed to have been heavily involved in the fights that occurred in Gbalo and Kukpong/Sagong in the Chereponi District of the North East Region on Wednesday, August 24

According to reports from an intelligence-led police operation in the region.

16 homes were destroyed in the confrontations last month, and several animals also perished.

After the police’s swift action saved lives, the situation quickly returned to normal.

Fortunately, the operation on Wednesday managed to identify the offenders, who will be brought before the court on Thursday, August 25, “to face justice.”

The police expressed gratitude to DCOP Moses Ali Kpeachin, the North East Regional Commander, and his group “for their efforts in restoring peace and obtaining intelligence leading to the arrest of the primary suspects behind the violence.”

In a statement to the media, Director of Public Affairs Grace Ansah-Akrofi advised everyone to settle disagreements via communication rather than force.
