Fante Bawjaise, a community in the Agona East Constituency, single-room healthcare facility is in dire need of attention.
With just a single mud room and lacking even the most basic amenities like a fan, the plight of the residents hangs in the balance.
The mud room has only one bed that accommodates a patient at a time. There’s also a bench outside the room that caters for additions should the one bed in the mud room is occupied.
The situation has reached a critical point as the current facility struggles to meet the healthcare needs of the community, serving as the sole healthcare provider in the area.
During a recent visit to the facility, the dire conditions were palpable. With only one bed to accommodate patients and a bench outside for overflow, the limitations of the facility are starkly apparent.
Blogger Kobby Kyei has shed light on the urgency of the situation, calling on both governmental bodies and non-governmental organizations to intervene and provide much-needed assistance to the community.
