The former member of parliament and the CEO of National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye and Bice Obour Kuffour are among the honorary at Africa Public Sector Leadership and Innovation awards.

The Governance & Business Boardroom, in its commitment to acknowledging and celebrating innovation within the public sector has hosted the prestigious Africa Public Sector Leadership & Innovation Awards.

This event honored outstanding individuals and organizations driving positive change and innovation across various sectors of the public service.

Among the notable awardees were:

– Mr. Kwasi Agyeman Busia, CEO of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), who was recognized as the Top Influential Public Sector Governance Icon in Africa for 2023.
– Ing. Oscar Amonoo-Neizer, Executive Secretary of the Energy Commission, also named as one of the Top Influential Public Sector Governance Icons in Africa for 2023.
– Mr. Ato Afful, CEO of the Graphic Communications Group Ltd, Accra-Ghana, honored as another Top Influential Public Sector Governance Icon in Africa for 2023.

Additionally, organizations such as the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited, and MASLOC were acknowledged for their contributions to driving efficiency, excellence in petroleum infrastructure development, and harnessing the transformational agenda in small business development, respectively.

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of exemplary leaders, including:

– Hon. Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, former CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), awarded as the Outstanding Public Sector Leader of the Year.
– Bice Obour Osei Kuffuor, Managing Director of Ghana Post, acknowledged as a Top Influential Public Sector Governance Icon in Africa for 2023.
