Kwame Owusu Danso (KOD), the running mate of presidential candidate Alan Kyerematen has advised young people to approach political support with caution, stressing the importance of thinking beyond personal gains and considering the broader impact on the nation.
In an interview with Ishmael Awudi, KOD cautioned that the enthusiasm of youth in supporting political parties could have unintended consequences if driven solely by personal interest. He emphasized, “When we think that we are supporting a political party that stands the chance of winning, without considering the bigger picture, we may inadvertently harm the country. It’s important to recognize that while a party may be doing good for the nation, our support should not be based on what we will personally gain, but on the long-term implications of our choices.”
He further noted that while political parties may have positive contributions to the country, the youth must carefully consider the repercussions of their actions. Supporting a party “just because of what you will get,” KOD said, without understanding the full impact on national progress, can lead to negative consequences.
He therefore called on the youth to rally behind the visionary leader, H.E. Alan Kyeremanten for the December 7 Elections to win power from the NPP and NDC.
He also reiterated the fact that Ghana is not for the NDC or the NPP which has been in power for a good thirty (32) years without progress.
