The President of Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), Madam Perpetual Ofori Ampofo is concerned about the rise of the number of active cases of the Coronavirus virus pandemic (Covid-19) recently.
According to her, they have taken notice of the recent increase in the covid-19 cases especially in Greater Accra,Eastern and Western region which is a bit of a worried to them and the Ghana medical Association and there must a need of urgency to start adhering to the protocols in reducing the virus infection among Ghanaians.
She said,according to the Ghana health service covid-19 statistics,the activit cases has risen to 1,255 active cases which is of concern to the Association and the Ghana medical Association.
Speaking at a press conference in accra organise by the Health Promotions Division (HPD) of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) in collaboration with the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) and Ghana Medical Association (GMA) on the need to to educate the general population on Covid-19 vaccine hesitancy and vaccine uptake, she said the only thing we can survive adhere to the protocols of using the hand sanitizers ,wearing of face mask and washing of hands with soap and water as well as getting vaccinated.
The President of the Ghana Medical Association,Dr.Frank Serebour on her part said,they are coming to engage with health workers in the country to educate them on the need to partake in the vaccination exercise and to champion the campaign for people to understand the need to get vaccinated.
