The residents of Adum in Kumasi were left in shock and disbelief after an affable young woman, Mad Adowa, was shot and killed by her alleged boyfriend over relationship issues.

The incident occurred yesternight at the forecourt of Dufie Towers, Adum.

According to eyewitnesses, the lady was shot five times by her boyfriend, who had suspected her of cheating. However, the lady denied the allegations and decided to break up with him, which infuriated the boyfriend. He pleaded with her to reconsider the decision, but she declined.

In a fit of rage, the boyfriend allegedly pulled out a gun and shot her multiple times, leading to her untimely death. The incident has left the entire community in mourning, with many expressing shock and disbelief at the heinous act.

The Kumasi Police have launched a manhunt for the alleged boyfriend and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward. The incident has also reignited the debate on the rising cases of domestic violence in the country, with many calling for stiffer penalties for perpetrators.
