The Deputy Minister of Education, Rev Ntim Fordjour, is urging Ghanaian students with intentions to acquire higher education to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the Indian Government through its “Study in India Expo.”

The 2022 Study in India Expo is to open doors of possibilities for African students, particularly Ghanaians, to connect with many premier universities and colleges from India and interact with heads and faculties of admissions and learn more about higher education opportunities in India.

It will also provide relevant information to students on higher education options in India, admission criteria and procedure and scholarships.

Speaking at the launch of the Expo in Accra, the Deputy Minister of Education, Rev Ntim Fordjour said, Ghana and India have a good relationship when it comes to the system of education and this platform will provide a common goals for Ghanaian students meet and interact with prestigious Indian institutions.

He added that, when it comes to technology and I.T, engineering and mathematics,India is one of the most improved countries in the world and the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics(STEM) education policy by the government is one the flagship programmes to help students equip themselves with skills training.

The Chief Chancellor of India Africa Trade Council at the Economic Community of West Africa States,James Rajamani on his part spoke about the impact and advantage the expo is going to benefit students in Ghana and the rest.

The event is a flagship project under the Ministry of Education, Government of India as a Lead Partner and supported by the High Commission of India Accra, India Africa Trade Council and Periyar African Foundation.
