Award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, Sonnie Badu has stated that he does not believe President Nana Akufo-Addo has turned a blind eye to the current economic hardships, adding that Ghanaians should help themselves too.
Speaking in an interview on TV3’s ‘New Day’ show, the head Pastor of Rockhill Church said he believes the President is having sleepless nights over the current happenings in the country.
“I said on the other show yesterday that I don’t think the President is sleeping, I think he is having sleepless nights with whatever that is going on but let’s also help ourselves,” he said.
According to him, while Ghanaians wait on the President to fix things, they should also start working on themselves.
“Let’s start networking, let’s start working together. Let’s walk in honesty. Let’s walk in truth. When somebody gives you something, make sure you are honest about it,” he added.
Sonnie Badu is currently in Ghana for the launch of the ‘Rhythms of Afrika’ event scheduled for Saturday, December 9.
