As the race to choose a 2024 flagbearer heats up, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Former Minister of Trade and Industry Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, and Energy Expert Kwadwo Nsafoah Poku are scheduled to appear before the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vetting Committee.

The vetting process will start today, July 3, following the deadline for nominations on Saturday, June 24.

On the first day of the screening process, the three candidates stated above are set to appear before the committee.

Kennedy Agyapong, a member of parliament for Assin Central, Boakye Agyarko, and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, a former party general secretary, will all testify before the committee on Tuesday.

Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, a former agriculture minister, Dr. Owusu Afriyei Akoto, and MP Joe Ghartey will all make appearances on July 5; former Mampong MP Francis Addai-Nimoh will do so on July 6.

According to the NPP schedule, the vetting results will be released on Friday, July 21, and voting will take place on Monday, July 24.
