On Saturday, August 26, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential elections committee promises a free, fair, and transparent election.
The NPP asserts that it has put in place sufficient safeguards to guarantee the outcome of the election.
The mechanisms put in place to ensure the votes’ openness, according to Professor Michael Oquaye, the head of the NPP Presidential Elections Committee, would ensure that everyone is satisfied with the election’s results.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia is one of ten candidates vying to lead the NPP in the 2024 presidential elections.

To create room for the presidential primaries to choose a flagbearer on November 4, the number of candidates will be whittled down to five at the August 26 super delegates conference.
The party has also prohibited phones and cameras as part of strict safeguards put in place prior to the conference to prevent vote buying.
