The National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Director of Legal Affairs, Abraham Amaliba, stated that all attempts to persuade Dr. Kwabena Duffuor’s team to meet with party leaders at a table to discuss and resolve the complaints made about the way the presidential primary process was conducted had been unsuccessful.
They have not responded to invitations that have been extended to them, he claimed.
The Big Issue was discussed on TV3 on Friday, May 12, and Mr. Amaliba stated that “all attempts to get them to sit with us at the table have failed.”
He said, “Is it obvious that the party is being frustrated because it is reaching out to you?”
Dr. Kwabena Duffuor filed a lawsuit against the party on Tuesday in an effort to halt the primaries.
But a statement issued by the General Secretary Fifi Kwetey said “While urging calm among our rank and file, we wish to assure that the party as at April 20th, 2023 had made available the full Delegates List to all presidential candidates in line with our commitment stated in our guidelines that, this Primary Document, would be furnished to all presidential candidates.
