In a quest to break the Guinness World Records for the longest cooking by an individual, Ghanaian Chef, Ebenezer Smith has already cooked for 15 days targeting 35 days.

Ebenezer Smith, widely known as Millennium Chef, is on a journey to beat the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. With determination and passion, Chef Smith officially commenced his record-breaking attempt on February 1st, 2024, at the Amadia Shopping Centre in Spintex, Accra.

With two consecutive application being denied by the record body in June and September 2023, he re-applied in November and was finally given the green light to embark on this historic feat.

Drawing inspiration from Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci , Chef Smith has made it a point to bring back the title to Africa and Ghana as a whole. Although he initially advertised a 360 hours duration which is technically supposed to end 14th February,2024, Chef Smith is poised to take it further and bring his campaign to an end on the 6th of March , 2024.

Amidst societal perceptions that cooking is predominantly a female-dominated industry, Chef Smith’s determination exemplifies a break from the norm, proving that culinary skill know no gender boundaries.

Although sponsors haven’t come through for him , Amadia Shopping Center has been of great support to him , taking care of everything that matters to make this a success. This notwithstanding , we still call on cooperate bodies and the media to come on board to support this great initiative.

Amadia Shopping Centre, situated on the 18 junction stretch of Spintex is the venue for this event , come in your numbers to cheer him on and don’t forget to pass through the mall to have a treat of our wide range of products and services.
