Labadi Beach Hotel has been crowned the Best 5-Star Hotel at the National Tourism Awards, held on October 25 at Castle Gardens, Osu.
This prestigious award recognizes the hotel’s exceptional service and commitment to hospitality. The 5-star hotel category was highly contested by the Kempinski hotel, Movenpick Hotel, and Marriot Hotel
In a statement, the managing director, Mr. David Eduaful expressed gratitude, dedicating the award to the dedicated team, loyal patrons, and the board of directors. “Ghanaians have been great supporters of Labadi Beach Hotel, and that’s why we are who we are today. We are proudly local and fearlessly global, competing on an international level,” he said.
He emphasized that true hospitality is defined by the human touch rather than just the physical space. “Labadi is a family-oriented organization. If you want to enjoy proper 5-star services and family-oriented hospitality, you have to come to Labadi Beach Hotel,” he added.
The National Tourism Awards featured a total of 38 accolades, including 29 Competitive Awards, 7 Honorary Awards, and 2 Special Mention Awards. The Honorary Award highlights individuals and organizations for outstanding contributions to Ghana’s tourism industry.
Established in 1997, the awards aim to recognize and reward significant contributions to the tourism sector, raising service delivery standards and promoting healthy competition. The event welcomed around 350 guests, including industry professionals from hotels, travel agencies, and car rental services, all committed to enhancing Ghana’s reputation as a prime tourist destination.
