After two successful editions of the KABFAM Legends Night, it has become one of the biggest musical events in the country. From performers, production, attendance, and everything that determines the success of an event.
The annual event powered by the home appliance giant in the country aims at celebrating iconic Ghanaian musicians, promoting great music from this side of the world, and ushering Ghanaians into a promising new year through exciting performances and linkups.
This is a show that has had performers like Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi, Amakye Dede, Nana Acheampong, and Oheneba Kissi Kwabena Kwabena mount the stage. It paints a picture of how big the event has been.
Last year, history was made at the event as the LUMBA BROTHERS – Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong performed together after many years the group that released their maiden album in the 80s mutually separated. This became the talk of the town after the event. There were speculations that the two heavyweight highlife singers were not on good terms and on the stage, the two shared the real story behind their separation. Daddy Lumba acknowledged that Nana Acheampong introduced him to highlife music which has arguably given him all the laurels.
This year, it is happening again at the usual venue, Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Center and it promises to be another mind-blowing experience as organizers have announced names of performers to get attendees mesmerized.
In the previous edition, organizers presented three giants for a night but interestingly this year, eight phenomenal performers are booked to be celebrated and make the event a memorable one. Lee Doudo, Pat Thomas, Gyedu-Blay Ambuley, Charles Amoah, Ben Brako, Nana Acheampong, Ofori Amponsah, George Jahra.
