Nana Kwame Bediako, (Freedom Jacob Caesar) the leader of the New Force movement has expressed his feelings of humiliation following the abrupt cancellation of the New Force Convention.
The convention was scheduled for January 7, 2024.
The convention, which aimed to bring together distinguished thought leaders in Africa, including luminaries such as Professor PLO Lumumba, Peter Obi, and Julius Malema, was set to address key challenges confronting the development of the continent.
However, the event was halted at the eleventh hour when national security intervened, preventing the gathering from taking place at the Independence Square in Accra. The sudden cancellation prompted Bediako to step forward and reveal himself as the driving force behind the movement, even though that wasn’t the original intention of the convention.
In an exclusive interview with TV3, Bediako expressed his frustration, stating, “I felt humiliated when the leaders of the country turned their back on me after I curated all these African pioneers to speak to the youth.”
The New Force leader emphasized that the convention was meant to foster dialogue and address critical issues affecting Africa’s progress. The cancellation, he argued, undermined the purpose of the gathering and compelled him to unveil his identity.
Ghanaians had been puzzled by billboards featuring an unknown face that had been erected around the country in the lead-up to the convention.
The revelation of Nana Kwame Bediako as the man behind the mask adds a new dimension to the unfolding events, raising questions about the motives behind the cancellation and the future direction of the New Force movement.
