Desmond Kwesi Blackmore known as D-Black has disclosed he has 12 businesses running in Ghana.
According to him, the first thing he started doing even before venturing into the music industry was advertising and marketing, adding that it helped him get money to invest in his music.
He further revealed that he started a record label after he opened a company called Black Avenue Works. He said; “When I invested in music, I started a record label, “Black Avenue Musik”. So it was myself, Joey B, DJ Breezy, and that’s how I started that company.”
The ‘Vera’ hitmaker, disclosed that he took a break from music in 2016 around the time Castro went missing, and ventured into events which is his third company “Live Wire Events”, where he organized one of Ghana’s biggest Boxing Fights at the Kumasi Sports Stadium between Bukom Banku and Ayittey Powers, ‘Celebrity Soccer’, among others. This company produces social and corporate events.
Pointing out the other businesses he has to his name, he stated that his fourth company is a branding company which has the name ‘Volcano’. “I built ‘Club Onyx’, ‘Oasis Lounge’, ‘Casablanca Lounge’, ‘Frosty Moon’, ‘Twelve Scenes’, ‘La Maison’, and a food delivery business called ‘Just Order”, D-Black added.
