‘Come Study International’ is set to embark on a CSR activity to provide 300 shoes with its Sole for Souls initiative on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Chorkor Presby school.
The project that begins at 10:00 AM (GMT) seeks to donate 270 pairs of these shoes to school children in need at the Chorkor Presby School in Accra, and the remaining 30 to Narung Basic School in the Northern Region of Ghana. The initiative is part of the organization’s broader mission to help students find and pursue educational opportunities.
Over the past decade, Come Study International has consistently given back to society through impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. These include Academic Excellence Awards, Library Projects, and support for children and families, empowering them to pursue their dreams and lead fulfilled productive lives. Speaking in an interview, Ms. Adelaide Aba Ansah, Managing Partner of Come Study International, highlighted the pressing need for such interventions. “For many of these children, a simple pair of shoes is not just a necessity but a symbol of hope and an opportunity to walk confidently into a brighter future. Through Sole for Souls, we want to make this a reality for 300 children this year,” she stated.
Come Study International is calling on the general public to support Sole for Souls by purchasing branded souvenirs, donating any amount, showing up on the said date, or simply spreading the word. For more information, individuals can dial +233 (0)23 441 5005 or donate directly using the short code *713*33*217#. To us, every contribution is priceless because it pushes us to restore hope among children who deserve to dream big, Ms. Adelaide added.
Come Study International is an educational consultancy that helps students find and pursue study abroad opportunities through one-on-one counseling, university application and admissions guidance, visa application preparation and processing, as well as pre-departure orientation. The organization believes that education goes beyond the classroom and involves addressing barriers that hinder students’ overall well-being; hence its dedication to touching lives through meaningful outreach programs. The Sole for Souls initiative resonates strongly with Come Study International’s quest to create lasting impacts in the education of children living in underserved communities; echoing the popular saying “catch them young…”.
In her call for support, Ms. Adelaide Aba Ansah reiterated that the Sole for Souls initiative is a timeless charity that could be extended to other parts of the country, to serve as a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a world of difference. She uttered, “You don’t need to be wealthy to lend a helping hand. Be the answer to someone else’s prayer and you will restore faith in humanity once again”.
