The Ghana Armed Forces has refuted claims about Air Force helicopter carrying 14 personnel, including staff from Petroleum sector regulators, has crash landed in Bonsokrom, Ahanta West Municipality.
Eyewitnesses report indicate that the helicopter crashed into a bush near the Bonsokrom community.

However, a press release issued by the Ghana armed forces states that the helicopter had made an emergency landing and there was no crash .
The release went on to specify that there were 21 passengers onboard comprising of staff of the Ghana National Gas Company and aircrew who were conducting a routine offshore powerline inspection of the Atuabo gas plant.
All passengers have been evacuated and currently receiving medical checkup. Authorities have commenced investigation to ascertain the cause of the incident.
