Ahead of the 2024 edition of the Chocolate Day celebrations, the Ghana Tourism Authority-Tema (GTA), in collaborations with able partners has held a football gala competition in Tema.
The gala competition aims to mark what was previously known as Valentine’s day now domesticated as Chocolate Day, is a unique initiative to re-orient the Ghanaian mind in appreciating Ghana’s cocoa products.
As part of the two-day event which kicked off on Tuesday, February 13th February,2024, six teams from Tema comprising Revelation FC, Origin Keep Fit Club,Tema United and Community 11 School Complex FC competing for honours.
Held on the theme, “Eat Chocolate,Stay Healthy,Grow Ghana” with sub-theme “Explore Ghana,Eat Chocolate” while charging Ghanaian to stay healthy with Ghanaian cocoa products.
Speaking in an interview with journalists at the Oninku School Complex Park, Madam … intimated that the time has come for Ghanaians to pride their own.
She said gone are the days where people see sex as the means of demonstrating love.
Rather, Madam Gifty Offeibea Koranteng Senanu disabused earlier notion of using sex for love while recommmending Ghanaian Kings bite chocolate for a loved ones is a unique demonstration of love.
“Research shows that Ghana’s cocoa has been the best and continue to be with medicinal values imbedded in it so all one can is to get a bite every time”he challenged.
Given that, the Ghanaian chocolate perfects health, Madam Senanu believes that one would have been solving health challenges while creating job for people within the cocoa value change.
She further added that the future of Ghana’s cocoa industry promises to be upscaled if everyone endeavours to purchase at least one of the uniquely-packaged Ghanaian chocolate.
She challenged Ghanaian to make a deliberate attempt by purchasing at least one to see what the potentials will be for the industry.

AbibiNsroma Foundation believes that with Tema being the Centre of the World coupled with the host of sponsors the campaign will be sustained.
He underscored the urgent need for Ghanaian to embrace the unique initiative to upscale cocoa production in Ghana.
