PaaQuecy Hughes, a Ghanaian gospel musician, is on the verge of setting the pace with his new release, “Mala,” which translates to “I Will Sing.”

Speaking with the trailblazer musician, he shared that “Mala” came as a result of his reflections on the good things God has done for him.

“I have a habit of reflecting on the good things God has done for me and giving thanks. So, during my usual commute to work, I started pondering over God’s goodness and counting my blessings. That’s when the lyrics began to flow into my spirit—’Ma la,’ meaning ‘I will sing,’” he said.

The lyrics translate to:

What will I sing?
I will sing to praise You
For taking away my pain and my shame
And giving me new life.

PaaQuecy mentioned that what he is doing is not ministry but rather his willingness to serve and win souls for Christ.

“I’ve also mentioned that what I’m doing isn’t ministry like most people say, but rather, I’m saved to serve. I’m looking forward to drawing souls to Christ, especially the little ones and the youth.”

“I’m PaaQuency Hughes. I believe in the death and resurrection of our Lord and Master Yeshua, who has made me gifted and willing to serve people through these gifts.”

“I’m not desperate to achieve things; instead, I love to take things easy, one day at a time.”
