Ghanaian rapper and actor, Andy Nii Akrashie, otherwise known as OJ Blaq has passed On to glory today, August 17, 2023, at age 40, after battling kidney disease for several years.
It will be recalled that the ‘Charle Wote’ hitmaker, in 2021 was diagnosed with kidney disease which was attributed to his past lifestyle choices involving binge drinking and smoking.
He underwent dialysis treatment and was awaiting a kidney transplant but suddenly kicked the bucket earlier this morning. The news of his passing was confirmed by family and close friends of the rapper, however, the cause of his death is yet to be revealed.
OJ Blaq gained prominence in the mid-2000s with his distinctive rap style and charismatic stage presence. His foray into acting showcased his versatility, highlighting his ability to captivate audiences on screen as well as through his music.
