The Lebanese Ambassador to Ghana, Maher Kheir, has called for the role of technology in building a more equitable future at the Ghana Youth Tech Summit, highlighting its potential as a force for social good.

Ambassador Kheir stated, “We stand on the edge of a future where innovation does not simply adjust to our needs, but elevates humanity itself.” Stressing that technology has reshaped how people live, learn, work, and connect, he noted that with thoughtful application, technology has the capacity to address global challenges, including healthcare and food security, and significantly improve lives worldwide.

“These innovations are not only transforming lives; they are saving them,” he said, underscoring the need for international collaboration. “When we work together, sharing knowledge and tools, we can accelerate progress toward solutions that benefit everyone.” He encouraged young people to “embrace technology that is both meaningful and impactful… and use your talent to build a future that is more inclusive and just.”

The summit sought to unlock the potential of young tech enthusiasts and provide career development opportunities in the fields of technology and digital innovation.

With a mission to inspire Ghanaian youth to pursue careers in technology, the summit also celebrated the accomplishments of young tech innovators, contributing to the establishment of a vibrant tech and digital innovation ecosystem in Ghana.

The summit featured three dynamic panel discussions. The first panel, moderated by Prince Akpah of Avance Media, explored “Digital Inclusion and Accessibility,” focusing on the roles of youth, industry players, and government in creating a more inclusive digital landscape.
