This recognition serves as an acknowledgment of GNG’s unwavering commitment to supporting the vibrant event landscape in Ghana, as well as its relentless pursuit of growth and sustainability in event industry reporting.
The honor was bestowed upon GNG during the inaugural edition of the Ghana Events Summit, which took place on Saturday, October 14, 2023, powered by CastVote.
The Ghana Events Summit (GES) was conceived to unite event organizers, providing them with a platform for networking, sharing technological insights, and fostering education in event management.
Distinguished speakers from the industry graced the event, shedding light on the pivotal role that branding plays in the world of events.
In an exclusive interview, the CEO of CastVote emphasized the importance of elevating the standards in event organization, noting that many event organizers in Ghana are relatively new to the industry. He shared,
“We predominantly work with event organizers by providing ticketing solutions. However, we’ve recognized that a significant number of them are novices in the field, resulting in events falling short of expectations. It’s our corporate social responsibility to host this event and empower organizers to meet the industry’s standards.”
Furthermore, Lisbon Odame, the creative director of GES, offered invaluable advice to event organizers. He underscored the importance of honesty, adhering to timelines, and having contingency plans to ensure events run smoothly and enhance the overall standard of events in Ghana. The inaugural Ghana Events Summit stands as a pivotal milestone in the quest to advance the event industry in the nation.
