The Ghana Armed Forces has promoted Lieutenant Colonel Justina Frimpong to the rank of Colonel, marking her as the first substantive female Commanding Officer (CO) of the transport battalion.
Colonel Justina Frimpong’s distinguished career has seen her rise through the ranks with dedication and excellence. Prior to her recent promotion, she served as the Commanding Officer in charge of the Transport Battalion Unit and held the position of Deputy Director of Administration at the Army Headquarters in Burma Camp. Her leadership and administrative acumen have earned her respect within the Ghana Armed Forces.
A native of Koforidua Oyoko in the Eastern Region, Colonel Frimpong’s educational journey began at Ghana Senior High School in Koforidua. She furthered her studies at the Green Hill College, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), where she specialized in Operations and Supply Chain Management.
This historic promotion is not only a personal achievement for Colonel Frimpong but also a significant milestone for women in the Ghana Armed Forces.
