Former President, and National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer, John Mahama, has called on Christians to extend prayers not only to good leaders but also to those considered as “bad leaders.”
Addressing the congregation, Mahama emphasized the critical role of prayer in influencing the direction of the nation. He stressed that bad leadership can contribute to economic retrogression and other challenges, making it imperative for Christians to actively pray for a positive change in the hearts and minds of leaders.
“The impact of bad leadership is felt by all, regardless of political affiliation. Therefore, Christians should take up the responsibility to pray for leaders, irrespective of their perceived shortcomings,” Mahama remarked during his speech.
The theme of Impact 2023 is “Open Doors,” and the convention, led by Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, aims to empower attendees spiritually, providing a platform for gaining knowledge, wisdom, spiritual direction, and aligning with God’s purpose.
