With the theme for GEIC 2023 set as “Adaptability and Implementation,” this year’s conference aims to re-energize industry members and their partners.

During the conference meeting to inaugurate the event, Ms. Kate Hassan, the President of EVAG, expressed the significance of adaptability in the event industry.

She emphasized that adaptability encompasses various skills such as problem-solving, communication, creativity, interpersonal skills, flexibility, self-awareness, open-mindedness, and organizational abilities.

Additionally, she highlighted the importance of quickly acquiring new skills, processes, or technologies, as well as the willingness to embrace change and grow business objectives.

Ms. Hassan stressed that the key to successful implementation lies in developing a tailored plan that caters to the specific needs of each business.

“This plan should encompass a well-defined timeline, objectives, roles, responsibilities, and an effective implementation strategy.

Once the plan is created and approved, its execution should be carried out promptly and efficiently. This entails providing adequate training, support, and resources to ensure the growth and success of all business members”. She stressed.

Furthermore, Ms. Hassan urged event vendors nationwide to unite and empower one another to deliver quality services and enhance customer satisfaction. She took the opportunity to invite all event vendors across the country to join EVAG, emphasizing the importance of working together towards a common goal in the coming year.

The launch of the 5th edition of the Ghana Event Industry Conference signifies a milestone for EVAG and the event industry in Ghana. With its focus on adaptability and implementation, the conference promises to equip industry professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate an ever-changing landscape successfully.
