CEO of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr Opoku Ware Ampomah has said a concerted national effort from Government, State Institutions, Professional regulators, corporate entities and nationally spirited individuals has to be made to overcome the developing tsunami that threatens to engulf us and to ensure that our best talents are encouraged to stay or to return home to contribute to the national effort.

“the resurgence of the Brain Drain is an existential threat to the survival of the Healthcare delivery system and all efforts must be made to make staying in Ghana an attractive and viable option for our highly trained / skilled staff and youth”. He added

Speaking at the launch of a transport service by the authorities of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and partner organizations to provide shuttle for the staff of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to ease access of transportation to and from work.

He reiterated that KBTH has been positioning itself to work out Staff Welfare / Support Systems, starting with Staff Transport, Staff Medicare Scheme, Staff Training plans and other Welfare initiatives

“We are also highly focused on meeting the expectations of our Stakeholders with respect to Customer satisfaction and accountability”

The results of our efforts are becoming evident. We have seen an improvement in patient satisfaction from 30% to 64% over the last 2 years and an improvement in Data quality and compilation from 185 in early 2021 to 44%.
