The Running mate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has apologized for his recent comments comparing the achievements of President Akufo-Addo to that of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

In a statement released on Friday, July 12, 2024, Mr. Opoku Prempeh, clarified that he “never meant to disrespect our former President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, or any of our former heads of State, including my own grand Uncle and Mentor, Mr. John Agyekum Kufour.”
He further rendered an apology to the general public for his comments.
“I note the concerns raised after my statement. I apologize sincerely and regret any discomfort caused” he added.
