Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Honorable Mark Okraku Mantey has unveiled the National Arts market, also known as Amaga Diano.

The Arts Market is located at the National Theatre in Accra and will provide a platform for made-in-Ghana products such as artifacts, clothing, and accessories to be showcased. During the official opening of the market, the Minister encouraged exhibitors to strive for excellence and expand their reach to a larger market.

The Minister pointed out that there is no difference between the art space in Ghana and that of Europe, emphasizing that exhibitors should aim for more. He acknowledged that the initiative will help mitigate the negative perception of the National Theatre’s environment and urged the exhibitors to take advantage of the opportunity to create jobs and other benefits.

Honorable Mark Okraku Mantey stressed the importance of making the initiative grow and portraying Ghana’s rich identity to the world through what people wear. He added that the Wear Ghana initiative is embraced by tourists and corporate entities.

The National Theatre, in partnership with Snap Entertainment, promises to provide a unique shopping experience that will not only feature art and culture but also provide information on the goods sold. Overall, the initiative aligns with the National Theatre’s strategic goals of inspiring artistic experiences and engaging the Ghanaian community
