At the BRIT Awards, RAYE accomplished an unprecedented feat by clinching an astounding six awards in a single year, being the first female to ever clinch Songwriter of the Year.

This extraordinary accomplishment signifies a watershed moment for the independent singer-songwriter.

In a historic sweep, RAYE became the first female to ever clinch Songwriter of the Year, in addition to seizing accolades for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year (“Escapism.”), Best New Artist, and Best R&B Act.

RAYE delivered a career-defining performance during the ceremony, presenting a medley of songs from her critically acclaimed debut album, “My 21st Century Blues,” including the chart-toppers “Escapism.” and “Ice Cream Man.” Following this success, RAYE is poised to grace the stage at Coachella on April 13th and 20th.

Emerging as the most nominated artist in a single BRITs year, RAYE led the pack with a record-breaking seven nominations – a milestone unmatched since The BRITs inception in 1977, surpassing the previous record of six held by Gorillaz (2002), Craig David (2001), and Robbie Williams (1999).

With six wins under her belt tonight, RAYE ascends to the summit of the BRITs leaderboard for the most wins in a single night, etching her name in BRIT Awards history by surpassing the previous record of four, held by Harry Styles (2023), Adele (2016), and Blur (1995).

Expressing her gratitude, RAYE remarked, she is  “so honored and blown away” to be receiving her first BRIT Award as Songwriter of the Year. “I will treasure this trophy very much,”
