In a shocking incident that has left the community in disbelief, a 23-year-old hairdresser, Victoria Tetteh, has allegedly been murdered by her boyfriend, Dominic, also known as Obuasi, at Dunkwa-Mfuom in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the Central Region.

According to reports, Dominic, who is an excavator operator and resides in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, had been in a relationship with Victoria for about a year. The murder was allegedly motivated by suspicions of cheating.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, May 3, 2023, and has thrown the community into shock. In an exclusive interview with Mr. Justice Oppong-Mensah, host of National Agenda on Denkyiraman Radio, Elizabeth Tetteh, the elder sister of the deceased, revealed that there was a heated argument between Victoria and Dominic over allegations of cheating.

According to Elizabeth Tetteh, her sister had denied the allegations, leading to a misunderstanding between the couple. Victoria, who was nervous, decided to leave Dominic’s house and sought refuge at her elder sister’s residence in Mfuom.

However, the suspect reportedly chased her to her sister’s house and allegedly hit her with a block, killing her instantly.

The suspect is currently on the run after committing the heinous crime. The police have started investigations to arrest the suspect and unravel the circumstances leading to the incident. Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Dunkwa Government morgue for preservation.
