Felix Afena Gyan, Black Stars captain Dede Ayew and the black stars are set to play in an All Stars Game this Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The game, dubbed ‘The All Stars Game’ is organized by sporting agency, ArthurLegacy Sports (ALS) under their annual Calcio Trade Ball initiative which celebrates football.
It will feature a black stars select side which will face it off with a select side from ALS featuring Felix Afena Gyan, Richmond Boakye Yiadom, Afriyie Acquah, Kwadwo Asamoah and Turkish Cup winner, Isaac Coffie.
The Black Stars select side will include captain, André Dede Ayew, Sulley Muntari, Samuel Inkoom, Fatau Dauda and Gideon Mensah.
Speaking on Citi TV’s sports show, Score Card with ahead of the event, CEO of The Business Africa Consulting Group (BAC group), the game implementers, Dr. Ernest Koranteng indicated, the match as planned is positioned to give the Black Stars an opportunity to interface with fans as a thanksgiving gesture for the continuous support and also a farewell ahead of the 2022 Black Stars World Cup campaign in Qatar later this year.
“For the fans who are coming, the main thing is, these guys will play this ceremonial game buy before and after, we want to spend time with the time with the fans; they want to take photos with the fans…”
“It is primarily to say we thank you for the support over the period…our run-up to qualifying for Qatar 2022 and we couldn’t have done it without you” he said.
As part of the fun-packed game, some artistes that have been lined up to perform at the event in what has been named an Accra Tema clash. They include Kuami Eugene, Samini, Kwamina MP and Kwesi Arthur.
