SHECANIC AUTO HUB in partnership with Kaya Tours, one of Ghana’s top hospitality brands, is set to embark on a road trip of the longest caravan of motorcycles and cars to support Blackstars at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire whiles promoting made in Ghana products
Wave The Flag is a SHECANIC initiative led by Nana Afua Serwaa Adusei with inspiration from her participation in the world-famous expedition – 10,000km Ghana to UK road trip by Wanderlust Ghana, as the only woman.
The broader mission of Wave The Flag is to encourage women to explore the scenic landscapes of Africa, advocate for the free movement of vehicles for leisure and sports, lobby for the removal of visa restrictions within Africa, and stimulate intra-African trade.
The road trip involves cars, buses, and motorcycles as patrons explore the adventure and exploration of a diverse route to Cote d’Ivoire.
In an interview with Mr. Abeiku Aggrey Santana, CEO of Kaya Tours, emphasized that this maiden road trip aims to galvanize support for the Black Stars and heighten awareness about the upcoming tournament.
“With AFCON just a few weeks away, this road trip is strategically designed to generate excitement for the tournament and, more importantly, mobilize support for the Black Stars. As they strive to end their 40-year trophy drought, this road trip sets the tone for a journey toward glory,” he stated.
Abeiku Santana anticipates that this initiative will not only impact the hospitality industry but will also elevate the standard of experiential journeys. Leveraging his extensive expertise in curating unforgettable experiences for patrons, Mr. Tourism expressed confidence that the upcoming road trip will be one for the books.

The 2023 AFCON, scheduled to commence on Saturday, January 13, and conclude on Sunday, February 11, 2024, will witness the participation of 24 African teams vying for the coveted trophy.
